In  compliance to the new Federal law requiring disclosures about possible lead content I'm issuing the following statements.

Consuming or handling products made of leaded crystal will expose you to lead - a chemical known to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm.

Sunshine Originals recognizes the importance of protecting the health and environment of my customers. I do NOT make my beads or it's components, I use beads and components obtained from other resources. Many of these companies are now identifying which products may contain lead, and which are lead free.  I am doing my best to only purchase supplies from established vendors and businesses who are complying with current Federal and State safety guidelines. 

For the most part, glass beads do not contain lead, although some of my antique micro beads may. Some products  such as crystals manufactured by Swarovski contain small amounts of lead, but it is embedded and does not leach from mere handling, but if it were ingested  you could expose your self to some lead.   Various base metal findings, chains,  may also contain small amounts of lead or nickel, which are commonly used in the manufacturing process. 

From this point forth, I will do my best to mention any possible lead content in any items I have created.  I will state the obvious, keep all items away from infants and small children. 

Nothing I create is edible, so please: DO NOT EAT THE BEADS!!!!
