I had a customer request a pair of earrings in the same styling as my Mardi Gras earrings, but in pastel colors. I was unable to find any of the 'oat' beads in pastel colors....however, I DID find these awesome 'miracle' beads in a larger oat shape.
The cool thing about these beads is that they change color depth dependent upon the light. So, they appear opaque (a darker solid color) when there is NO light, and then more like fiber optical or cat-eye like when there is direct light...so very cool....a scanner or camera can't even depict these color changing nuances..........These beads reminded me of the Cotton Candy I used to get at the local Fair when I was a child...good enough to eat...they are yummy looking...thus, I've dubbed them 'Cotton Candy'.
I've used size 14/0 Japanese round glass beads, 4mm, 15mm twist, and 30mm glass bugle beads. 3mm miracle oat beads and pressed glass dagger beads. Earrings are hung from Gold Plated Lever Back Earring Findings and measure about 1/2 by 6 inches.
