As I mentioned before, my younger sister Theresa is a very talented seamstress, and has made clothing for her family members for years. I was especially enthralled with some of the ethnic fabrics she was using when making 'dashikis', scarves, skirts, vests, and traditional African tam hats and caps. The colors and patterns were very bright and vivid and I was inspired!! I also LOVE the challenge of making a matching or coordinated pattern. This particular fabric is splashed with multiple colors, a little gold design, 2 small masks and 1 large black/gold mask pattern (s). I have to admit that the larger 'mask' has proven to be a daunting pattern to design, and I'm still working on it. But I did make what I consider to be good representations of the other designs. The 'Gold Insignia Pin' pictured here can also be made into a pair for earrings. Just contact Sunshine for further information on pricing, findings, etc. Weaved in flat vertical peyote with size 14/0 round glass Japanese beads. SOLD
