As some of my regular following know, I'm technically a transplant from the "other" North, in other words, I'm not a Yankee...LOL. But, irregardless of whether or not I'm a foreigner or a Yankee, one of the popular items sold here in the South is a tooth-pick holder. And believe you me, if you eat barbeque on any kind of a regular basis, you're gonna need a toothpick at one time or another. I purchased a number of these wooden 'toothpick' holders knowing I could, eventually, embellish them with beads for use as such or perhaps as the also popular 'needle case'. I used an assortment of size 15/0 glass Japanese Hex beads, weaving them with a tubular peyote technique, in a random design, to embellish this particular toothpick holder. It took about 6 hours to bead this puppy. I can duplicate this in any color scheme or design pattern you so desire, just contact Sunshine for your custom order needs. WON - Congrats to Erin Curran of Dahlonega for winning 3rd prize in the raffle at the 2006 Paulding Meadows Festival. Item # GC500 |
