Czechoslovakian geometric beaded purses were very popular during the 1930's. I purchased this little bag many years ago at the Lakewood Antiques Market in Atlanta, Georgia. It is beaded with white and silver/grey lined glass seed beads. Accents include faux oat shaped pearl beads and gunmetal colored glass tube beads. It has been well loved. The back side of the purse has 1 missing faux pearl, there is a very tiny brown stain on the bottom portion it is missing a few beads here and there, and has a bare spot on the top right hand corner next to the zipper pull. On the front side it has one row about 1 1/2long of missing beads under the faux pearls. The beaded strap handle has about 1 1/8 inch of missing beads. The grosgrain fabric is kind an ecru color and shows normal used coloring, but there are no holes, rips or tears. It has a cloth tag that reads 'Made in Czechoslovakia'. The zipper closure is intact and works great. Purse measures approximately 7 3/4 inches across at widest point and almost 4 3/4 tall without the handle. Handle is 8 inches long for a total hanging length of about 7 3/4 inches. Being sold 'as is'. The 1999 Schiffer 3rd edition "Handbags" values these purses at $65. SOLD
