This is a wonderful knitted with crocheted header steel and carnival glass beaded drawstring reticule from the early to mid 1800's. It is in excellent condition with out any bead loss that I could find. There are 2 small spots where the steel beads appear to have been re-stitched. The cord/yarn/thread used is black, not the navy blue it looks like in the second picture. It is does not have a lining, nor does it appear that it ever did. It also doesn't have a drawstring, but I'm thinking that this lovely purse just never got finished and that is why it's in such remarkable shape. I love the way the tassel was done!! Purse measures about 4 5/8 inches wide and 8 1/4 inches from the top of the bag to the top of the tassel portion, tassel portion adds another 2 1/2 inches. SOLD
