A charming and darling accessory from the 1940's.  Miniature purses designed to be worn as necklaces.  This coin purse is a wonderful brass filigrees with a ball kiss closure.  It opens and shuts securely. It is attached to a brass "C" bar and the 24 inch brass rope  chain is attached to the center of that for an overall hanging length of approximately 14 1/2 inches.  Brass is in very good condition only showing normal usage, very little (if any) tarnishing.  This is pictured with 4 other examples on page 139 of Schiffers "Handbags" 3rd Edition  1999 price guide.  At that time, these little gems were valued at $35-60 a piece.
