This is a wonderful example of a  fringed wrist swag purse from the late 1800's to the early 1900's.  It's Knitted with hematite colored carnival glass beads with long looped fringe.  The body of the purse is in mint condition with no holes, separations, or missing beads. The top portion that has the fringe is done in a fold over all around, I found one missing bead, a real easy fix.  The fringe on the back of the purse has 4 maybe 5, missing loops of fringe and one that has pulled loose some, but these type of beads are easily found and available, so this would be a very minor fix.

The strap is in excellent condition with no missing beads, separations, or broken threads.  The yarn/thread used is more of an almost black navy blue, much darker than the photo shows.  It has a small snap to keep the purse closed, this has come undone on one side, again a very minor fix and does not effect the value of the purse.

Purse measures 4 1/2 inches wide and 5 5/58 inches long, loops in the fringe hang just below the bottom of the bag by about 1/2 inch.  Strap is is about 12 inches long for an overall hanging length of a hair over 13 inches.
