Inspired by a design by Jennifer Tallbear,  I call this piece "Hidden Feathers" because without realizing it, the color scheme I had picked out ended up making it look like feather tips around the edge when the project was complete.

I've surrounded the 'unidentified' center stone with a size 14/0 round glass Japanese beads.  The 'hidden feather' edging is done in a brick stitch.  Fringe accents include genuine semi-precious Unakite chips, 4mm genuine Swarovski Austrian crystals, and Czech pressed glass leaves. Backed with genuine suede leather the beadworked piece measures 2 3/4 x 6 inches.  The scan shows it hanging from a leather cord, but it is currently hanging from dual gold plated bails and a 26 inch gold plated chain. Though I could do a similar design, this is really a ONE-OF-A-KIND creation.
