I apologize for the picture, it's actually a scan of a scan, but you get the general idea.  This is based on a design by Susan Claxton found in  Beads to Buckskins Volume Four book and it features a small genuine Hematite semi-precious gemstone cabochon.  I've used an appliqué technique using size 13/0 charlotte cut hematite beads.  The accents are genuine 2mm round hematite beads and heart shaped hematite beads.  This piece measures 1 3/8 x 2 5/8 inches, is backed with genuine pigskin suede leather and hangs from a nickel bail and a 18 inch nickel herringbone chain.
