A regular customer e-mailed saying she needed a navy blue barrette, didn't know what size or shape, with or without stones, it just needed to be navy.  She was also interested in some other spring items, so I thought of doing this barrette to resemble a butterfly to be spring like.

The center stone representing the body is an 18x13mm genuine semi-precious dyed onyx gemstone cabochon.  The eyes and tail are 4mm round genuine semi-precious Lapis Lazuli gemstone beads.  The wings have heart shaped glass beads.  I've appliquéd all around them with size 14/0 round Japanese glass beads.  Backed with genuine pigskin suede leather with a spring clip barrette finding.  This piece measures 4 inches wide and 1 3/4 inches tall.
