I absolutely love Barbara Elbe’s wildlife designs she has in several of the books she’s published for Amulet purses. But, sniffle, I don’t wear amulets nor do I make them, and it seemed such a waste of beautiful depictions. So, with a little adaptation here or there I framed them!!

This pheasant is done in flat vertical peyote with size 15/0 glass Japanese Hex beads. I made a matte of green pigskin suede and mounted it in this oval wood frame that hangs from a 3-legged wrought iron base. Approx measurement of overall piece is 4 ½ inches x 10 inches.

This would be an ideal gift for that hunter, nature buff, in the cabin, on the fireplace mantle, or the office desk.
