In a town called Arlington in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains in Washington State is the “Love Israel Family Commune”. They live a naturalistic, self contained, self supporting lifestyle. One of their main sources of income is the raising and selling of Garlic. Every summer they hold a Garlic Festival, which allows the public to come join them in celebration of the harvest. As a participating vendor you create a piece that celebrates “garlic” for a fundraising raffle. This is a reproduction of a piece I designed for the 1998 festival.

I apologize for the scans, the unique frame is slanted backward and my scanner couldn’t quite capture the detail but hopefully you get the gist of it. Weaved in flat vertical peyote with size 15/0 glass Japanese beads, approx 4 x 7 inches total measurement.
