I honestly can’t remember if the inspiration for this “Tropical Sunset” came from a needlepoint or a postcard, but it was one of the two.

Weaved in flat vertical peyote with size 15/0 glass Japanese Hex beads and mounted in a freestanding 3 ½ x 4 ½ inch frame.

Makes a great little picture window for some respite for on the desk when days are cold or hectic.

GIFT/GONE

I actually gave this picture to my friend Carol as a thank-you gift.  We hadn't seen each other in over a decade and I was able to call her and ask her to check on my aging mother.  She's been a true friend and we got to see each other in June of 08.  I gave her this so that she could have a place to look at and escape to a tropical paradise whenever she got stressed!!
